Bearings form the greasy, rotating heart of your bike's transmission system! You can find them hidden away in the center of wheels, cassettes, pedals, bottom brackets, and headsets. Poorly greased or damaged bearings and races will slow your bike down, and can lead to more costly repairs further on. Learn how to diagnose, calibrate, and service (or repack) different bearing sets. The main focus of this class will be on repacking cup-and-cone bearings, but some coverage of sealed bearings and techniques for opening up stuck and stubborn assemblies will be included.
