Vashon Chutes & Roots - TLRS 2025.2

A gravel and trail-centric tour de plant-based features of Vashon Island. Easily overlooked and seldom seen portals ensure full immersion and big ole smiles. This is medium-large endeavor with nary a side quest ignored. The route includes a Dockton trail session that may or may not be extended, pending day-of conditions. Less Passport to Pain, more Portals to Pleasure. Plenty of options to bail, additional options for extra credit. Also included is a side rip/snack trap to say "hey" to Oscar the Bird King, the whimsical Thomas Dambo troll sculpture and Ye Ould Bicycle In A Tree. Optional island-style pizza stop at the end to await ferry.

Rec'd - high volume tires, low gearing, download the route & PMA. Expect mostly green/some blue drop bar friendly singletrack, short sections of steeply pitched unpaved roads. Occasional re-groups, will need to maintain momentum to complete route. Reminder, parking available at upper Lincoln Park, if needed.
