First bike and bird! Grab your binoculars or borrow some from a friend and let's go try to find some birds. This ride is for all skill levels. We'll just try to identify what we can and enjoying watching and listening for birds while enjoying riding bikes.
For this route, we'll hit up 2-3 spots for about 45 mins each. Expect the ride to last until mid-afternoon, depending on the group and what they want out of it. Let me know what you’re interested in in the comments. I’m guessing the north lake loop would take us 4-5 hours to complete with bird stops.
The route will take the loop up around the north end of Lake Washington and then back on 520. We will return back to the start at the end of the ride, but folks are invited to join for any part of the ride. We can stop and grab food in Kenmore or Kirkland if folks want to grab something on the way otherwise I’m planning to bring lunch from home.
Enjoy this photo of a beautiful pigeon I saw on Beacon Hill a couple weeks ago.
