It’s day 4 after The Big One and your neighbors need you—everyone has a role to play in the recovery. You have your bike -- what can YOU do?
This is a disaster drill in the form of a bike scavenger hunt, especially for (but not limited to) cargo bikes. Home base is at Cal Anderson: ride your own route to checkpoints -- Show us your skills, and learn new ones, to collect points and ultimately, build our resilience networks in Seattle.
Checkpoints will include challenges and skill-shares relating to:
Opt-in to use your route and times to contribute to micromobility research (how bikes can respond to disasters).
The event is self-paced: compete and test your skills, or ride for fun to learn about recovery efforts in Seattle.
More details soon, but will include:
Cargo (includes bikes with trailers)
Open (any bike)
Family-friendly (low-to-no loads)
Visit checkpoints to collect points and practice skills - at your own pace, on your own route.

Opt-in to send your route and times (via Strava) to our collaborating group of bike researchers who are studying bike relief in disaster scenarios.
