Optional Ride leaves UDistrict Lightrail (Brooklyn and 43rd) at 6pm. Lots of food and drink nearby.
Your host this week is Jonathan McCurdy, last time I hosted, we cancelled cuz of rain. The time before that we also met in Eastlake. Guess I have a thing for Eastlake-ish parks. This time we have the lovely i5 to keep us covered if it rains!
The meeting spot is in the upper part of the park. It’s a steep park so it pays to pay attention to this. There is a large circular concrete pad right near the NE entrance to the park near where Harvard spits out.

I'll be hosting a short ride to the park from U District Light Rail Station at 6 pm for those who would like to meet me there. There’s not much for stores nearby the park without dropping way down into Eastlake proper, so let’s plan on loading up at one of the many restaurants or HMart in U D. If you’re interested in doing so, I’d recommend getting there before 6 in the interest of time.
Another thing to note. There are some weird sketchy mountain bike skills trails that are more or less the focus of this park. Feel free to get stupid/rad on whatever bike you bring, even if it’s just staged for the ‘gram. Photoshoot opportunities abound!!
