Discord Integration

Everyday Rides can connect to your Discord server so that events are automatically posted to a channel when they're published. Event posts have Going, Interested, and Not Going buttons so members can RSVP right from Discord, and posts update automatically if an event is changed or cancelled.

For server members

If your Discord server is already connected to Everyday Rides, you can link your account to RSVP directly from event posts in Discord.

  1. Run /er-link in any channel where the bot is installed
  2. Click the link to confirm on the Everyday Rides website

Once linked, you can use the buttons on any event post to RSVP. You can unlink anytime with /er-unlink or from your account settings on the website.

You can also run /er-upcoming in any connected channel to see a list of upcoming events. The response is only visible to you.

CommandDescription
/er-linkLink your Discord account to Everyday Rides
/er-unlinkUnlink your Discord account
/er-upcomingSee upcoming events (only visible to you)

For group owners

If you run a group on Everyday Rides and want events posted to your Discord server, you can connect a channel to your group. You'll need Manage Server permission in Discord to add the bot.

  1. Add the Everyday Rides bot to your Discord server
  2. Link your account with /er-link
  3. Run /er-connect group and choose which group's events to post to the channel
Add to Discord

Once connected, new events will be posted to the channel automatically. You can use /er-disconnect to stop posting to a channel. Channels can also be managed from the group settings page on the website.

CommandDescription
/er-connect groupConnect a group's events to a channel
/er-disconnectStop posting events to a channel

For city admins

Site admins can connect a Discord channel to a city's events using /er-connect city instead of /er-connect group. The setup is otherwise the same as above.

CommandDescription
/er-connect cityConnect a city's public events to a channel
/er-disconnectStop posting events to a channel
