Calendar Guide

You don't have to check the site to know what's coming up. Every calendar on Everyday Rides can be subscribed to from the calendar app you already use — Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or anything that supports iCal feeds. Once subscribed, new rides appear automatically, changes sync, and cancellations show up right on your calendar.

Feeds You Can Subscribe To

  • City calendar — every public event in your city. No account needed.
  • Personalized calendar — city events plus events from your groups and your RSVPs, or just your groups and follows if you prefer a quieter feed. Your RSVP status (going, interested) carries into your calendar. Requires a free account.
  • Group calendars — just one group's events. Group members can include member-only events. Find the subscribe link at the bottom of any group's calendar page.
  • A single event — use the "Add to Calendar" button on any event page to add just that one.

How to Subscribe

Head to the Subscribe to Calendar page, choose which feed you want, and pick your calendar app. Choosing an app subscribes you to a live feed that stays up to date on its own. "Download Calendar File" is different — it saves a one-time snapshot that never updates, so subscribing is almost always what you want.

Good to Know

  • Calendar apps check feeds on their own schedule — updates usually appear within a few hours, though Google Calendar can occasionally take up to a day.
  • Cancelled events stay on your calendar and are clearly marked as cancelled, so you know not to show up rather than wondering where the ride went.
  • On personalized feeds, RSVP "Not Going" to an event to remove it from your calendar.
  • Your personalized feed URL contains a private token — treat it like a password and don't share it. Group and city feed links are fine to share.
