Fall is here, and as the temperatures start to drop, it's time to celebrate that PNW wardrobe staple: flannel. Yes, Jenn just hosted a grunge-themed happy hour this last spring that had some aesthetic overlap, but flannel is about so much more than early '90s rock: '00s Williamsburg hipsters! Lumberjacks! The dreaded stomp-clap indie folk of the early '10s! As usual, I'm helping curate the Bike Happy Hour vibe through a playlist, this time with an average Pitchfork rating of 8.95—so, you know, very flannel-adjacent.
As always, we'll be starting at six! The weather thankfully isn't in ride-in-flannel territory yet, but with possible rain in the forecast, we'll meet under the picnic shelter at Meridian Playground (in the southeast corner of the park). If you want to grab drinks or snacks on your way, there's a QFC at 46th and Wallingford and a 7-Eleven at 50th and 1st.
