Sound Break Soft Opening Social Ride

Hi I'm Summer! You may know me as a mechanic and ride leader from Cycle & Coffee in Fremont (RIP) or a current mechanic over at Bike Works in Columbia City.

Hope you've all been riding your bikes in da sunshine! I MISS YOU (I haven't hosted rides since Feb), and I'm so glad to have another opportunity to host rides, this time for a new bike shop in Pioneer Square: Sound Break, a gathering place for cyclists, opening in RailSpur Alley on August 8th. 🎉

For this soft opening social ride, we'll start at the shop where we'll have drinks, snax, and some basic bike shop functionality (air, flat fix supplies etc). This is a brand new, living, breathing place, and it's for YOU: Seattle bikers, and anyone choosing to come bike around this fine emerald metropolis.

SCHED: 4:30pm MEETUP at Sound Break, 115 S Jackson St, in Pioneer Square: check out the new bike shop space, grab a drink, mingle 5:15pm ROLL OUT ??pm PIT STOP for picnic supplies 7pm ish END at Foster Point for swimming & picnic if you want, or roll wherever you wanna from there. We'll be near the UW Link station and the G line.

VIBE: Go play with your friends after work! We'll end at a waterfront park, so feel free to bring your swimmy suit and picnic blanket. This is a no-drop social ride and will be around 10-15 miles. Route TBA

GUIDELINES: We use the buddy system to keep track of folks, and you're welcome to peel off early as long as you tell your buddy or leave together. We'll have some stops & regroups along the way. Please ride a functioning bike, wear a helmet, and have some comfort riding in the city. Stay visible, respectful, and look out for each other! Flat fix supplies and basic tools are encouraged. The ride will end before dark, but bring lights if you'll be out later.
