Heap Troupe

Heap is a Seattle-based performance troupe that brings play to the forefront of their performances using bicycles, ladders, oranges, and other whimsical objects. This collaborative project involves movement artist and dance educator Kara Beadle, musician and handyman extraordinaire Andy Zacek, and several rotating artists. Their experimental theatrics celebrate abundance, while critiquing overconsumption. Inside the fantasy worlds they build, Heap queers reductive ideas on bodily autonomy by drawing parallels between humans and objects.
