Shitty Gritty Alley Cat

Get ready for the Shitty Gritty Alley Cat! 🚴‍♂️🌧️ This all-ages urban cycling adventure will have you navigating Tacoma to complete as many checkpoints as possible in four hours. With fun challenges, multiple categories, and all proceeds benefiting Pedals for the People and Pedal It Forward, it’s an event you don’t want to miss! Registration is just $10, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Mark your calendars—registration open! 🛠️🚲

Event Schedule: • Check-In & Briefing: Participants gather at 2nd Cycle for event registration and instructions. • The Ride: Navigate Tacoma, hitting checkpoints at your own pace. • After Party: Celebrate at 2nd Cycle from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM with snacks and nonalcoholic drinks.

Route Format: • This is a self-navigated alley cat race. • You only need to complete one checkpoint to finish the event. • Points will be awarded for completing checkpoints, with bonus points available along the way. • Complete all checkpoints, and you'll cover approximately 40 miles. • A recommended route will be shared on our website and emailed 30 minutes after the race begins, offering flexibility to create your own adventure or follow our path. • This ride intentionally highlights areas in Tacoma with less cycling infrastructure. Please ride with caution.
