Sound Break Bike House in Pioneer Square is hosting the next meetup event for Washington Outdoor Link, an outdoor industry networking community. This event is designed to connect folks within the outdoor industry in the greater Seattle area, or those who are curious and interested in getting involved in the industry! Whether you're a bike mechanic, climbing instructor, running shoe designer, [insert rad outdoor industry role here], or simply curious about what it's like to work in this industry or other parts of the industry, this event is for you!
We're stoked to have this event on Women's Equality Day. This event is organized by Gabe Dries and Summer Hanson, two women in the bike industry who are eager to share their experiences and create a more welcoming atmosphere for women, femmes, and nonbinary folks in the outdoor industry, which has been historically male-dominated. All genders are welcome at this event!
The flow of the event will be something like this:
5:30-6pm arrive, settle in, grab a drink and check out Sound Break, the new bike shop/café that's hosting this event!
6pm-6:30pm icebreaker questions, meeting fellow attendees
6:30-8pm free flowing mingling - chat with whoever you'd like. Learn from each other, make connections!
