AIDS Rides 2027: Kick Off Cycling Ride

Since 1994, AIDS bicycle rides take place annually in major cities across the world to raise awareness and funding for Hiv/AIDS services. These are year-long cycling and fundraising challenges that culminates in multi-day rides over the Summer, like: Cycle to Zero (in North California), Center Ride Out (in South California), the Joy Ride (in Florida), Cycle for a Cause (in New York), Friends for Life Bike Rally (in Ontario, CAN), and a soon to be announced new ride here in Washington State.

Once again, Seattle is proud to host a kick-off open to all those who want to support AIDS rides next year, whether they will cycle, volunteer or cheer from the sideline. This event - presented by Positive Pedalers and Seattle's Outspoken Cycling Club - is open to all, beginner-friendly, and all-paces-welcome! It will start at the Pacific Center under the Space Needle and continue for 15 miles around the beautiful views of Lower Queen Anne and Magnolia. Whether you want to join or support the cyclists in this challenge, this event is a great way to get to know the community, ride around Seattle and show your beautiful colors.

All participants are required to bring a helmet and water bottle. Before riding out, we’ll go over important safety tips and distribute printed route sheets.
