Cascade x Sound Break: Ride in the Rain Kickoff

Join us for a collaborative ride and social event with Cascade Bicycle Club and Sound Break! This will kick off Cascade's Ride in the Rain month: an event series and challenge to ride during Washington's rainiest month of the year.

We'll meet at 1:00pm for coffee and mingling, and start the ride at 1:30pm (in order of faster to slower pace groups).

Before the ride, we'll gather for brief announcements and some safety reminders. Cascade ride leaders will lead several different pace groups: Leisurely (10-12mph), Steady (12-14mph), Moderate (14-16mph) and Brisk (16-18mph) with support from Sound Break. We'll regroup occasionally to stay together. Restrooms are available at Sound Break, and we'll have one restroom stop about mid-way through the ride.

We have two route options for this ride. Both go to West Seattle and around Alki before returning across the bridge to Pioneer Square.

After the ride, we'll return to Sound Break around 3pm for a raffle, some social time and a few words from Cascade's advocacy team. Some snacks and drinks will be provided, with additional food & beverage available for purchase at Sound Break.

If the weather is rainy, please bring fenders if you have them! Also bring a flat kit, phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. The event is on rain or shine, and you're welcome to join to hang out at Sound Break if you'd rather not ride.
